A lousy brain OR A poorly understood one?

Bio II class test was just a breeze. I mean, time went by quite fast because atleast 45min was spent day-dreaming in the lecture theater. Well, I answered most of the questions using common-sense. Wrote whatever that comes to my mind. Didn’t even revise eversince CR week. Only did so at 5am just now. How lucky I didn’t blanked out just now. Oh well, to hell with it.

Exam/Test grades that you achieve is what you really deserve. Don’t blame it on your parents, teachers or pets when you don’t achieve your desired grades. Grades reflect your efforts. Little efforts mean meagre results. As simple as that. Oh, and don’t blame your brains either because I don’t believe it when people say, “I have a slower brain.” The utmost disgusting sentence that has been said to me was, “How can I ever get such grades? I’m not as smart as you…bla bla bla”.

I just don’t believe that one is smarter than the other, well unless you’re born retarded, then I understand. Otherwise, if you think you can’t get certain concepts, just put a little bit more effort in doing so. Hey, it all goes back to efforts. Efforts justify your grades.

A lousy brain
Or
A poorly understood one?
(taken from Ernesco’s, Super-Teen Workshop Manual)
You often hear people complaining that they are not as “smart” as the other people. They say they have a slower brain, a less creative brain or one that just cannot retain anything. In fact, many people believe that people are either born “brainy” or not, if for whatever reason, they have been short-changed in the “brains department” at birth, then they can never match up to someone else who was born more brainy, no matter how hard they study.
“It is not enough to have a good mind. The main thing is to use it well.” – Rene Descartes

So with that people, let’s not whine. Find a way to tap into your brain’s potential. It’s God’s gift to you. Use it or lose it.

Till then, have a nice week ahead of you.

Flooded schedules

April 26, 2008 at 3:55 pm (Uncategorized)

Oh yes, I’m back. But not for long. Just what have I been busy doing lately? As a matter of fact, I don’t know.

Well, 2 weeks of school just past. 5 more weeks to go. Just how fast can time fly? I just wish to stay in school until I graduate. No attachments please!

In these 2 weeks, alot of things happened. The lecturers are literally pouring disgustingly boring theories into our brains. How lovely that is. Anyway, I just sat for my Phase Test in the morning. Some IV Therapy shit. The lecturer didn’t mention anything about me failing, so I’ll just take it as a pass. Right after that, went to Beach Road with Faizal to check out the prices for an army bag. Well, those bags can contain alot of stuff and the price is not that bad either. This coming Monday will be the class test for Bio II. Haven’t done any revision eversince school started. Maybe I’ll start doing so tonight.

Lately, something happened in school which I find rather interesting and I’m kinda awed by it. I’ll just sit back and relax, and see what happens next. Let’s just say, I’ll be a sitting duck, waiting for things to strike upon me. Don’t ask what happened because I won’t tell, for sure.

Hmm. A quick reality check of things I’m supposed to do.

  • Revision of Bio II
  • Revision of Patient Care (A)
  • Revision of Gerontology
  • Revision of Pergas’s June Exam
  • 10 pages of “Tauhid” thesis – by 4th May
  • Research and planning for “Hadith” ceramah – by 27th April/4th May

Dumbfounded after being strucked by reality, Saiful Bakhri just realizes that he needs to prioritize his time real badly. And the last point says, “Research and planning for “Hadith” ceramah – by 27th April/4th May”. Yes, people. It says, “Ceramah”. Well, that’s how the Ustaz said it. He gave each and everyone of us a “hadith”, or maybe two if we are lucky. I so happened to be one of those lucky ones and I got two. Not to worry because they are both inter-related. But still, it just sucks to talk for 10 mins infront of a class. I still remember back in secondary school when I represented my class for an inter-class debate competition. Debating for 3 mins just seems like an eternity, much less 10 mins!

Oh! And one more thing. I’m still figuring my days as an Ammay Distributor. I’d need to work out a plan. Not a foolproof plan, but a plan for me to follow so I won’t get lost in the tracks. I’ll be an Ammay distributor sometime around June but I guess it won’t hurt to build contacts now or rather, clients i would say.

Well uh, that’s it for now. Will be back again, I promise.

I just realised, I’ve not been updating. I’m still the lazy Saiful. School’s starting soon and it just sucks. Someone told me there will be no books for Bio Science II and if it really IS true, again, it just sucks. I didn’t take down any notes during the CR week so I guess, I’ve to dig out the Tabbner and do some researching SOON.

Oh well. I think I’ll just post pictures. Pictures taken 2 weeks ago. o.o
