My dumbass “Angel” went to her wrong “Mortal”

May 29, 2008 at 8:04 pm (Uncategorized)

Today is plain boring. I came into class at 10.40am and I found out that we were allowed to leave at 11am. Anyway, there wasn’t much studying done even though it is the revision week right now. If lecturers tell us to do self-studying in class, why in the world can’t we even do it at home? Seriously, they should just let us do our own studies at home.

Oh, yesterday was the last period for Customer Service(CSV) class. There was much crying. But I believe, the only time when even the guys could cry was during the “Super Teens Workshop” held 2 years ago in secondary school. Okay, that is worth crying for. Back to yesterday. Well, we had the “White Elephant” session which to me, was a gifts exchanging moment. I gave a box of Hi-lighters with a little “poem” enclosed with it. Of course, I wrote that “poem” myself. So, Atikah got it. She sent a sms of appreciation. Cool, atleast my gift is appreciated. Anyway for myself, I got a pink belt from Yusra. Damn, how cool a gift was that? Even though I can’t use it, I still find it cool to get it. Thanks Yusra? Oh yeah, CSV teacher gave each of us a little laminated card with some descriptive words on it. For myself, she gave me a,”The Observer & Thinker”. I love it and for that, Thanks!

One more thing. We also had a session that we were supposed to reveal to our “mortals”, that we are the “angels”. I revealed to Aisyah that I was the “angel”! Said something to her and well, returned back to my seats. Even when the session was over, I still didn’t know who my “angel” is. I think I know who it is BUT that person didn’t have the courage I guess. That person went to another classmate of mine just to reveal that he/she is the angel. Surprisingly, that classmate of mine didn’t attend one of the CSV class when we were told to write a little note to our “mortal”. If that classmate of mine didn’t attend that “write-a-note-to-your-“mortal” session we had a few weeks before, how can that classmate of mine have an “angel”? Well, I just think I know who my “angel” is judging from the handwriting from that little note. It’s just a guess but I have the feeling that my guess is perfectly correct. Can’t say for sure but let me see how gutless one can be.

That’s it for now.

She’s mesmerizing

She’s hot. XD

Okay fine, anyway, I had the the last exam paper for Pergas. It was Tafsir and it wasn’t easy. Didn’t even study for it but oh well, it wouldn’t turn out that bad, would it? Well, today marks the end of Semester 1 for me and Semester 2 will start around the end of June.

For ITE, last exam date would be the 5th of June. Either the 3rd or 4th week will be the start of attachment for SGH kids.

Seriously, I’ve nothing to say.

Book In

I’m back from that 2D1N “Understanding Poverty Camp”!
1st Day – Reported at 10am but the programme started at 11am. So much for being reminded to arrive earlier. Well, we had Ice-breaker games for a start but even before the game had started, we introduced ourselves to each other.
My group members were Khai, Dillah, Hidayah, Hendon, Hajar, Jasinyl, Atikah, Qiao Fen, Pamela and Salimah! Those girls are a great bunch I’d say. Sweet and friendly, they sure brighten up the camp days! Not to forget, the guys, whom we stayed with throughout the days: Haikel, Shafiq, Fathur, Aaron and Douglas.
So anyway, after the Ice-breaking games that we had, we watched a movie, “Pursuit of Happiness”. Well, everything that goes on the camp revolves around Poverty. We were told to discuss some points of the movie as a group and after much hoo-hah, we proceeded to bake cookies! Different groups were allocated with different tasks and as for myself and a few of my group members, Our task was to do labelling and packing of the cookies. And of course, we had cookies while packing! Oh, and we also had to portion out 50kg of rice for 100 families. It’s like 500g/family. It’s so little but there’s nothing we could do since the organizers have their own budgets too. There was no lunch for us because they wanted us to feel what it’s like not to have food. But of course, dinner was provided for us.
Anyway, right after dinner, we proceeded to our sleeping area which is the library. We had newspaper article research with our individual groups and while in the process of discussing, the 1st group was excused for shower. I was in the 5th group and our shower time was at around 10.30pm.
Proceeded to the swimming pool’s toilet for shower and since the guys went out at our own will, there was no facilitators following us. Me and Haikel tried the swimming pool while the others just hanged around because some of them either said it was too cold or they had no extra shorts with them. And soon after, the girls came over and the guys had to proceed to the shower room instead. On a side note, we treated the college like a leisure place and we did things we couldn’t get to do during school curriculum. Things I wouldn’t share in this blog and the reason is for “taking-care-of-our-own-asses”. Headed back to the library at “Lights off” time which was around 11.30pm. Had some socializing moments with the ladies and the guys. Played cards and walked around aimlessly because I didn’t plan on sleeping for the night. But sad to say, the In-charge, Ms Chia, wanted us to be in our rooms at 1.30am. No loitering allowed. That was the time, when things were being planned.
The hell of a night – Shall not elaborate on it for safety reasons. It was a hell of a moment. Most importantly, we had fun. And of course, there were other things that occured that I wouldn’t want to share here. Okay, one of it was the “laid-back session” with Khai and the ladies, Hendon, Hajar, Qiao Fen and Jasinyl. Well, the rest is up to your imagination. =p
2nd Day – I slept at 5am today and woke up at around 8am? Had shower then breakfast followed by a Poem composition competition. About Poverty of course. After that came the Delivery of cookies and rice packs to the families at Holland Close. I pitied them but well, atleast the government does little things for them to meet their daily needs. At 12noon, we left the place, to the school for Lunch. Some time after that, we had to present our assignments to the rest of the groups. Then came the collating of points reaped throughout the camp and hey, my group, Group 5 got 2nd place out of the 5 groups present. Group 4 got 1st place. After much yakking from the organizers, they announced the end of the camp. Had some photo sessions and went home after that. I’m still sleepy so I’m looking forward for a great knock out tonight.
ANYWAY, these are the little photo sessions. Enjoy!

FTC

May 9, 2008 at 12:08 am (Uncategorized)

Just got back from FTC centre. FTC is one of the Amway centres in Singapore. That place, is full of inspiration. Well, I go there just to let my imagination run wild. Let’s just say, “Shiok Sendiri” la eh. Since I’m pretty much of a time waster, I’m going to give a part of time as an Amway distributor. Come on, no harm doing Multi-level marketing right? Anyway, this time, Fathur brought Nurin along. Nurin is also one of us, a nursing student of course. So er, Nurin was shyshy just now and she’s not like that in school. Funny how uneasy she looked just now. SO, today, we had a guest who came over from KL to share about his experience and all. Interesting I would say.

Enough about that. Now, school events. It’s decided that I’ll be attending the, “Understanding Poverty Camp”. The main thing is, we’ll be baking cookies on this Saturday and delivering them the next day. And the best part is, we’ll be staying OVERNIGHT in school! Okay, whatever. So, we’ll be sleeping in the library or something like that. I hope we get to walk around in the compound after dark. I’m pretty sure it would be fun. Besides, Khai and Fathur will be there so, hilarious things are bound to happen with these jokers around.

ANYWAY, I boiled water using the wrong kitchenware. I used the one which my mum uses to immerse chillies in hot water. And guess what? My Dear cup of Milo is kinda SPICY. Milo Pedas. Like wtf? Okay people, that’s it for now. Let me enjoy my Spicy Milo okay? =)
